Islamic Center of Southern California

Sheriff Lee Baca, a man of integrity and kindness was also among the first law enforcement officials to contact the center and assure us that Muslims would be protected like all other citizens. On the first Friday after the attack Sheriff Baca attended the Friday prayer and addressed our community after Jum'a prayer in compassionate and assuring speech. Sheriff Baca also made special efforts to bring Muslims and Jews together in fruitful dialogue, and continues to build relationships with diverse communities.
