Islamic Center of Southern California

On the day of devastation, Governor Gray Davis, phoned to express his support of the Muslim community and emphasize his commitment to ensure the protection of Muslims as well as all other communities throughout California. Governor Davis's outreach to the Muslim community and the Islamic Center were pivotal in the prevention of hysteria and hate in local communities, and opened a critical door to communication with Muslim leaders.
