MUSLIM APPRECIATION AWARD

On Sunday, September 8th, The Islamic Center presented The Muslim Appreciation Award to several civic and religious leaders and organizations for standing firm for peace, justice and harmony during the hard times following the September 11th attack on America. The Muslim community honored, civic leaders who expressed their unwavering stand with all God-loving, law-abiding communities against bigotry and hate mongering. Inter-religious leaders who spoke the truth during challenging times when many extremists did not want the truth to prevail. Law enforcement agencies that went beyond the call of duty to secure the country and every individual regardless of race, religion or national origin. This is the day when the Muslim community pay tribute to the exemplary services and good citizenship. This is the time when we honor what Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) described as "The best of people are the most beneficent to the community.
